Seth Gilliam is an American screen and stage actor, known for his notable roles on AMC's The Walking Dead as Father Gabriel, HBO's Oz and The Wire as Ellis Carver and Clayton Hughes, and Teen Wolf as Dr. Alan Deaton. He has also appeared in award-winning films such as Still Alice, Starship Troopers, and Courage Under Fire. Gilliam graduated from State University of New York at Purchase with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in acting in 1990.
