Jonathan Kaplan was a renowned American film producer and director, born in Paris to actress Frances Heflin and composer Sol Kaplan. He is notable for producing The Accused (1988), which earned Jodie Foster her first Oscar, and Love Field (1992), which earned Michelle Pfeiffer an Oscar nomination. Kaplan also received five Emmy nominations for his work on ER, showcasing his versatility behind the camera.
