Birthe Neumann is a Danish actress born on April 30, 1947, in Vanløse, Copenhagen. She graduated from the Danish National School of Theatre in 1972 and was employed by the Royal Danish Theatre, where she appeared in numerous productions including The Celebration, for which she received her first Dogme 95 award. Neumann has also received Denmark's leading film award for her performances in Kærlighedens Smerte and Lykkevej.
