"Open Hearts" is a 2002 Danish drama film directed by Susanne Bier, starring Sonja Richter as Cecilie and Mads Mikkelsen as Niels, a doctor who falls in love with Cecilie's fiancé Joachim (Nikolaj Lie Kaas) after he becomes paralyzed in a car accident.
