Biography

Gary Kent was a renowned American film director, actor, and stuntman born on June 7, 1933, in Walla Walla, Washington. He began his career with the University of Washington, studying journalism before joining the U.S. Navy in 1952. After his military service, Kent made his feature film debut in Battle Flame (1959) and went on to appear in various low-budget films throughout the 1960s, inspiring Quentin Tarantino's character Cliff Booth in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
