Thorsten Merten

Biography

Thorsten Merten is a German actor born on December 4, 1963, in Ruhla. He trained at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin and graduated with a diploma in cabaret performance. Merten has appeared in numerous stage productions, including *One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest* and *Hamlet*, for which he was awarded the Conrad Ekhof Prize in 1999. He has also gained recognition in film and television, particularly in roles such as precinct chief Stich in *Tatort*.
