Biography

Carol van Herwijnen was a Dutch actor born in Amsterdam on June 21, 1941. During World War II, he experienced the Hongerwinter as a child and later studied at the Rietveldacademie and the Amsterdamse Toneelschool, where he befriended classmate Wieteke van Dort. He won the I.C.C. Concours in 1966 and began his acting career with the Toneelgroep Studio in 1965.
