Wolfried Lier

Biography

Wolfrid Lier was a German actor who began his career in theater, debuting at Stadttheater Neisse in 1938 and later joining the ensemble of Landestheater Gotha-Sondershausen from 1939 to 1943. He gained recognition for his role as Unteroffizier Jaletzki in the 1960 TV series Am grünen Strand der Spree, followed by a notable appearance as Postzugräuber Walter Lloyd in the 1970 film Die Gentlemen bitten zur Kasse. Lier worked extensively at the Bayerische Staatsschauspiel and the Münchner Kammerspielen before his retirement in 1983.
