Kumail Nanjiani

Biography

Kumail Nanjiani is a Pakistani-American stand-up comedian and actor known for his breakout role as Dinesh in the HBO comedy series Silicon Valley (2014–2019) and his co-writing and starring role in the romantic comedy film The Big Sick (2017), which earned him an Academy Award nomination. He has also appeared in various TV shows, including Franklin & Bash, Portlandia, The Twilight Zone, and Obi-Wan Kenobi, among others. Nanjiani was named one of Time magazine's 100 most influential people in the world in 2018.
