Biography

Adepero Oduye is a Brooklyn-born actress, director, singer, and writer, of Nigerian descent, who has established herself in the film industry with notable roles in critically acclaimed films such as Pariah, 12 Years a Slave, The Big Short, and Widows. Her breakout role in Dee Rees' Pariah earned her several awards and a nomination for Best Female Lead at the Independent Spirit Awards. She has also appeared in numerous television shows and stage productions.
