George Voskovec

Biography

George Voskovec was a Czech-American actor born Jiří Wachsmann on June 19, 1905, and died on July 1, 1981. He was known in the United States for his role as polite Juror #11 in the 1957 film 12 Angry Men. Throughout much of his career, he was associated with actor and playwright Jan Werich, with whom he co-founded the Liberated Theatre of Voskovec and Werich.
