William Gaxton

Biography

William Gaxton was an American actor of vaudeville, film, and theatre, born Arthur Anthony Gaxiola on December 2, 1893, in San Francisco, California. He attended Santa Clara College with classmate Edmund Lowe and the University of California, Berkeley, and later became president of the Lambs Club, a theatrical organization in New York City, multiple times between 1936 and 1961. A popular theatre duo with Victor Moore emerged in the 1930s and 1940s, including an on-screen collaboration.
