Born in 1931 as Chang Chung Tien, Paul Chang Chung began his career at Shaw Brothers in the 1950s, leveraging his physical attributes to play charming and virile men opposite leading ladies. He transitioned from Malaysian and Singaporean productions to espionage films in the late 1960s, earning him the nickname "the Hong Kong Bond." After leaving Shaw Brothers, he joined Cathay studios before becoming an independent filmmaker, collaborating with Golden Harvest on various projects.
