Horace Hodges was a British stage and film actor with a notable career spanning multiple mediums. He wrote the play "Grumpy", which saw productions on Broadway in 1913 and as a silent film in 1923, before adapting it into a sound version in 1930. His final film role came in 1939's "Jamaica Inn" as Chadwick, Sir Humphrey's Butler.
