Ion Besoiu

Biography

Ion Besoiu was a Romanian actor born in Sibiu in 1931, graduating from the city's Theater and Music Academy. He played for 16 years at the Radu Stanca National Theatre before moving to Bucharest, where he took on leading roles in notable films such as "Blestemul pământului, blestemul iubirii" (1980) and "Lumini și umbre" (1985). Besoiu also directed the Bulandra Theatre for 12 years.
