He made his acting debut in the television movie Young Ivanhoe (1995) and later appeared in notable roles as William Compton in The Tudors, Dyson in Lost Girl, and Quint Lane in Underworld: Awakening. Holden-Ried has also lent his voice to animated series and video games, including Captain Canuck and Assassin's Creed: Syndicate.
