Gene Simmons is a renowned Israeli-American musician and songwriter born Chaim Witz on August 25, 1949, in Haifa, Israel. He co-founded the hard rock band Kiss in 1973 with Paul Stanley, Ace Frehley, and Peter Criss, serving as bassist and lead singer until their dissolution in 2023. Simmons was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2014 for his contributions to Kiss.
