Biography

Madge Sinclair was a Jamaican American character actress known for her roles in "Cornbread, Earl and Me" (1975), "Convoy" (1978), and the Disney animated feature film "The Lion King" (1994). She won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for her role as Empress Josephine in "Gabriel's Fire" (1991). Sinclair began acting at Joseph Papp's Public Theatre in New York, where she also portrayed Clytemnestra in 1971.
