Born to Polish actors Grażyna Dylag and Aleksander Mikolajczak, Izabella Anna Mikołajczak was recruited to study at the New York City Ballet at age 15. She later pursued a career in acting, making her American film debut in Coyote Ugly and appearing in notable roles on television series like Deadwood and Chicago Fire. A dance injury led her to transition to acting full-time.
