Mark Patton

Biography

Mark Patton is a veteran actor and interior designer, best known for his roles in Broadway's Come Back to the Five and Dime, Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean and the horror film A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge. In 1985, he landed the lead role of Jesse Walsh, a character that would later earn him the title of "scream king" for his pioneering portrayal of a gay teen in mainstream cinema. After abandoning his acting career due to homophobia, Patton has since pursued interior design and written about his experiences with HIV and recovery. He currently resides happily in Mexico with his wife.
