Biography
Curtis James Jackson III, known as 50 Cent, was born on July 6, 1975, in Queens, New York City. After a near-fatal shooting in 2000 that cancelled his debut album's release, he caught the attention of Eminem and signed to Shady Records in 2002. His breakthrough album Get Rich or Die Tryin' (2003) was a critical and commercial success, spawning hits like "In da Club" and launching his record label G-Unit Records.
