Biography

Sun Zhou is a Chinese film director, producer, actor, and screenwriter. He began his career in television and as a cameraman before studying at the Beijing Film Academy from 1984 to 1987. Notable highlights include winning the Jury Award at the Beijing Student Film Festival for "Zhou Yu's Train" (2002) and taking home the Netpac Award at the Hawaii International Film Festival for "Breaking the Silence" (2000).
