Biography

Tippi Hedren is an American actress and former fashion model known for her roles in Alfred Hitchcock's suspense-thriller The Birds (1963) and psychological drama Marnie (1964). She won a Golden Globe Award for New Star of the Year for her performance in The Birds. In 1983, Hedren founded the Shambala Preserve, an 80-acre wildlife habitat dedicated to animal rescue. Her daughter Melanie Griffith has also collaborated with her on several productions.
