Biography

Michael Gwisdek was a German actor and film director born on January 14, 1942, who began his acting career in East Germany. He won the Silver Bear for Best Actor at the 49th Berlin International Film Festival in 1999 for his role in "Night Shapes." A prolific filmmaker, he also directed several notable films, including his debut "Treffen in Travers" screened at the Cannes Film Festival in 1989.
