Biography
Apichatpong Weerasethakul is a Thai independent film director, screenwriter, and producer known for pushing the boundaries of conventional filmmaking. His feature films have garnered international acclaim, including the Palme d'Or at Cannes for Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives, and numerous other awards. Weerasethakul's films often explore themes of dreams, nature, and sexuality, and have been recognized for their unconventional narrative structures. He is also a Professor at Tama Art University in Tokyo.
