Lynne Thigpen was a Tony Award-winning actress known for her varied television work, including roles in "The District" and "Bear in the Big Blue House". She also starred in the film adaptations of the off-Broadway musicals "Godspell", reprising her role as Lynne alongside David Haskell and Victor Garber. Thigpen was nominated for six Daytime Emmy Awards and won a Tony Award for her portrayal of Dr. Judith Kaufman in "An American Daughter".
