Kenjirō Ishiyama

Biography

Kenjiro Ishiyama was a Japanese actor born on October 10, 1903, in Hiroshima. He began his career at new stage in 1922 and transitioned to film, debuting in 1951's "Summer Festival Three-Strand Sake Barrel." Notable roles include Tatsugoro in "Zatoichi the Outlaw" (1967), Father in "Kwaidan" (1964), and Boss Jubei Araiso in "Zatoichi and the Doomed Man" (1965). He died on May 10, 1976.
