Tyson Beckford is a Jamaican-American model and actor born on December 19, 1970, in Bronx, New York, to a Jamaican mother and Panamanian father of Chinese-Jamaican descent. He rose to fame as a Ralph Lauren Polo model and later became the host of two seasons of Bravo's Make Me a Supermodel. Beckford has achieved success similar to that of female models in the 1990s, becoming one of the most successful male supermodels of all time.
