Chocolate City

A struggling college student's life is turned upside down when he takes a job as an exotic dancer at a male strip club, convincing him to give amateur night a whirl. Based on the popular male stripper movie Magic Mike, Chocolate City brings a fresh perspective with its all-black cast, tackling issues of identity and community in the process. Directed by Jean-Claude La Marre, this 2015 comedy-drama film is a limited release that premiered on BET and became a surprise hit, debuting on 991,000 viewers in its first airing.
