Tyra Lynne Banks is an American television personality, model, and actress born on December 4, 1973. She rose to fame as a model at 15, becoming the first African-American woman featured on GQ and Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue covers, three times. As a Victoria's Secret Angel from 1997 to 2005, Banks was one of only a few Black models to achieve supermodel status, earning her place among top-earning models in the early 2000s.
