Daniel John Gilvezan was born on October 26, 1950, in St. Louis, Missouri. He began his career touring with the National Players company and later appeared in summer stock, dinner theater, and children's theater. In the 1980s, he landed notable voice-over roles as Peter Parker/Spider-Man in Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends and Bumblebee in The Transformers series.
