Geraldine McEwan was a renowned English actress known for her versatility and captivating stage presence. A five-time Olivier Award nominee and twice winner of the Evening Standard Award for Best Actress, she excelled in theatre productions such as The Rivals (1983) and The Way of the World (1995). She also won the BAFTA TV Award for Best Actress for her role in Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit (1990), followed by a starring role as Agatha Christie's Miss Marple in the ITV series from 2004 to 2009.
