John David Batchelor is a Singaporean-born Australian television and film actor born on September 25, 1969. He is best known for his roles in the Australian drama series Sea Patrol as Chief Petty Officer Marine Technical Andy 'Charge' Thorpe and the feature film Red Dog as Peeto. Batchelor's childhood was marked by frequent moves due to his father's military career, but he found stability in Brisbane, where he developed a passion for acting.
