Biography

Alan Thicke was a Canadian-American actor and host best known for playing Dr. Jason Seaver on the popular 1980s sitcom Growing Pains. Born in Kirkland Lake, Ontario, he attended University of Western Ontario before graduating from Elliot Lake Secondary School as homecoming king. Thicke was also a frequent game show host, including Face the Music and First Impressions, and was inducted into Canada's Walk of Fame in 2013.
