The film follows Taylor Brandon Burns (Mark Rendall), America's most famous child star, who runs away from his pressures and shows up in Canada to shoot a big-budget action film. Rick Shiller (Don McKellar), a down-on-his-luck indie filmmaker turned limo-driver, is tasked with finding the boy after his stage mom Suzanne and fellow actress Natalie ditch him on set. The story explores themes of fame, greed, indulgence, and the human cost of mass media's consumption of child performers.
