Jean Yoon

Biography

Jean Yoon is a Canadian-born actress and playwright of Korean descent, best known for originating the role of Umma in the award-winning CBC Television series "Kim's Convenience". She has also appeared in notable roles in TV comedies like "Darkest Miriam" and "Making Scents of Love", earning an ACTRA Award and two Canadian Screen Award nominations. Yoon currently resides and works in Toronto, where she continues to write and produce plays focusing on the Korean diaspora.
