Lena Mahikan (Cara Gee), a young single First Nations mother, struggles to bridge the generation gap with her daughter Peeka (Shay Eyre) and her mother Minerva (Jennifer Podemski). After fleeing to her rural hometown in response to her 13-year-old daughter's overdose, Lena reunites with her estranged mother, forcing her to confront a past she has tried to ignore.
