Biography

June Claire Kenney was born in Boston, Massachusetts on July 6, 1933, to a builder and plumber father of Irish descent and a homemaker mother of French-Canadian descent. She began singing and dancing at four and was discovered by talent scouts, leading to appearances on Boston area radio and musical shorts with Warner Bros. Before pursuing a career in Hollywood, she relocated to Southern California with her family to escape New England winters.
