Robert August is a renowned American surfer and surfboard shaper, born in 1945 in Huntington Beach, California. As one of the subjects of Bruce Brown's iconic 1966 surf documentary The Endless Summer, he helped popularize surfing worldwide alongside friend Mike Hynson. His enthusiasm for the sport has continued to influence its growth, with his surfboards bearing his brand and produced by Surftech.
