The film follows surfers Mike Hynson and Robert August as they travel the world during California's winter to find the perfect wave and ultimately an endless summer. Along the way, they introduce locals to the sport in various locations including Australia, New Zealand, Tahiti, Hawaii, Senegal, Ghana, Nigeria, and South Africa. The narrative presentation blends humor and personal style, showcasing the surf rock soundtrack and iconic image created by John Van Hamersveld.
