Tommy Bond

Biography

Thomas Ross "Tommy" Bond was a child actor who began his career in Our Gang (Little Rascals) comedies at just five years old, working intermittently from 1931 to 1934 before leaving for public school. He later returned to acting as a supporting character and background actor, eventually landing more substantial roles. At the age of eight, Bond became the first actor to portray Jimmy Olsen, Superman's trusted sidekick, in the film serials Superman (1948) and Atom Man vs. Superman (1950).
