Biography

Juan de Garchitorena y Carvajal, also known as Juan Torena, was a Filipino footballer and American actor who rose to prominence in the late 1910s with FC Barcelona, where he played alongside his father, brother, and distant cousin Paulino Alcántara. He made his debut with the first team at 18 years old and went on to play professionally for several months. Later, Torena transitioned to acting, starring in films like "American Guerrilla in the Philippines" (1950).
