Biography

Chan Hung-Lieh was a Shaw Brothers actor known for portraying villains in wuxia and martial arts films from the 1960s to 1980s, including his notable roles in "The Thundering Sword" (1967) and "Shaolin Invincibles" (1977). He took a hiatus from acting in the 1980s to pursue a career in the garment industry before resuming his acting career with TVB in 1995. Chan won the TVB Anniversary Award for Best Supporting Actor in 2004 for his performance in the historical drama series "War and Beauty".
