Golden Sparrow, a fighter-for-hire, is contracted by the local government to retrieve the governor's kidnapped son, Zheng Bi-qiu, who is being held by a group of rebels led by Jade-Faced Tiger. The rebels are demanding the release of their leader in exchange for the captured son. Golden Sparrow, played by Cheng Pei-Pei, is joined by an inebriated wanderer, Drunken Cat, played by Elliot Ngok Wah, who aids her in her mission.
