Ludwik Benoit was a Polish film and theatre actor born on July 18, 1920, in Wołkowysk. He graduated from the Actor's Studio Gall and National Film School in Łódź before making a name for himself in both comedic and dramatic films. Benoit is perhaps best remembered for his role as Grzesio in the 1955 film "A Generation." His personal life included marriages to actresses Maria Zbyszewska and Jadwiga Jędrzejczak, with whom he had two children.
