Biography

International Chrysis (1951–26 March 1990) was a pioneering American transgender entertainer and protégé of Salvador Dalí. She rose to fame in the 1960s and 1970s with her provocative performances, including a role as the damsel in distress in Van Halen's "(Oh) Pretty Woman" music video. Chrysis appeared briefly in the documentary "The Queen" (1968), before touring drag supper clubs and nightclubs throughout the 1980s.
