He gained recognition for his roles in Australian films such as "Storm Boy" (1976) and "Blue Fin" (1978), based on novels by Colin Thiele. His final film credit was in Scott Hicks' 1982 drama "Freedom". Rowe currently resides in Toronto, Ontario, Canada with his wife and two children.
