Louie Psihoyos is an American photographer and documentary film director born in 1957 in Dubuque, Iowa. He is a certified scuba diver with a passion for bringing awareness to underwater life. Psihoyos directed the Oscar-winning documentary The Cove in 2009, which he also appeared in alongside his photography work featured in films like Racing Extinction and Chasing Ice.
