Graham McTavish, born in Glasgow, Scotland on January 4, 1961, is a Scottish television actor known for his roles in The Hobbit film trilogy as Dwalin and in the Starz series Outlander, where he played Dougal MacKenzie. He has also appeared in various films and TV shows, including Red Dwarf, Lost, NCIS, Prison Break, and Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. McTavish is a member of Clan MacTavish and co-wrote the non-fiction book Clanlands with Outlander co-star Sam Heughan.
