Elizabeth Russell was a talented American actress born on August 2, 1916, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She gained recognition for her roles in several low-budget horror films produced by Val Lewton at RKO Pictures, including "The Corpse Vanishes" and "Bedlam". As the sister-in-law of Rosalind Russell, she drew upon a diverse background as a photographer's model before establishing herself in film.
